It's Alive!

It's alive . . . alive!!! Muhahahahahah!

Last night my dad and I drained the 12 year old gas . . . cleaned the fuel petcock valve and put new fuel line on it. We got it all back together and then I decided to go for broke . . . I found my original start button wire (the button is missing since the replacement part I had didn't have electric start button). I cranked it and it lit off -- and jumped to about 5000 rpm . . . at 10:30 through that admittedly unbaffled two into one header . . . it's a bit loud. The throttle cables were a bit bound up under the gas tank so I got them unstuck and then it worked just fine. I'm very excited to get it on the road now. Called about insurance today on it, so that'll be in place.
